Excited to announce that Stone + Smith has landed in it’s second retail space (a trend that we’re working to expand – do you know of any other great stores that we should contact?) This space is special. It opens at the end of the month and is the brain child of Alexa Stark, a fashion designer and seamstress out of Brooklyn. Her intention with the space is not merely to conduct transactions but for artists to feel free to come in and create in her space, sparking collaborations and projects. According to the Portland Mercury write-up,
“Stark is an advocate of giving people back their hands, their ability to be makers”.
